Professor Sang Eun Shim is a faculty member of the Department of Chemical Engineering and Director of Polymer Engineering Lab at Inha University, South Korea. He earned his B.S. and M.S. from Inha University, and Ph.D. in Polymer Engineering from the University of Akron under Professor Avraam I. Isayev. He joined Inha University in 2004, serving as Vice Dean of Graduate School and Vice Director of Budget & Strategic Planning Office, and received the 2020 Distinguished Alumni Award from UA. His research focuses on silicone rubber composites, carbon nanofillers, thermally conductive & EMI shielding polymers, energy storage electrodes and flame-retardant foams. He has published over 240 peer-reviewed papers and holds more than 50 patents, with 5 technology transfers and 3 industrialized products. He maintains long-term academic and industry collaborations with polymer and rubber research communities across China and Northeast Asia.
